Last year, iPROM served over 8.8 billion web ads

Last year, iPROM served 23 percent more ad impressions compared to the year 2010

With its iPROM AD Server software solution, iPROM served over 8.8 billion web ads to web media users throughout the year 2011, increasing the number of ads served in 2010 by over 23 percent, and in comparison to 2009 by over 61 percent. Direct clients, agencies and media publishers realized 4250 advertising campaigns with almost 10,000 various web ads in 2011 with iPROM’s software solution for distribution, targeting and tracking of advertising materials on internet.

In 2011, the shares of web ad impressions in web media were distributed by industry in the following way: the top position was taken by the automotive industry with over 2.2 billion ad impressions, next was trade with 1.2 billion ad impressions and the third was the entertainment industry with 1.1 billion ad impressions. For five consecutive years, the automotive industry remains number one regarding ad impressions; however, there have been changes in the second place as the entertainment industry was replaced by trade.

The highest growth in ad impressions was noted in trade with almost 1.2 billion ad impressions, which is 22 percent more than in 2010. The largest drop in ad impressions was noted in information technology, which has fallen from the third place in 2010 to the seventh place in 2011. The analysis of impressions included all used formats of standard, multimedia and video ads.

For ten consecutive years iPROM presents the number of ad impressions served in web media. In 2002, 205 million impressions were served. The number had been continuously growing over the following years and reached 8.8 billion last year. Even financial crisis that started in Slovenia at the end of 2008 couldn’t decrease this growth.

iPROM AD Server is one of the biggest web projects in Slovenia. A software solution that runs on 23 connected servers recorded on average over 1150 interactions with web users per second and served 280 web ads per second in 2011. iPROM AD Server communicated on average with 920,000 web users per day and recorded over 100 million various interactions daily.
